Title: Diving Bell home video? Photos?
Post by: Junior on June 03, 2010, 06:33:41 PM
As much as I have been cruising the Internet since I got my new computer up and running on line in January, I still have not found too many videos or photos of the old diving bell attraction, float trip, mule swing, medicine show, or rainmaker or other old shows and attractions. Most stuff I've seen has been from the last few years. Anybody have anything hidden in grandma's attic or at mom and dad's closet that they could pull out and post? I know when I worked on park somebody took my picture or shot home video of me and the other Juniors at the diving bell many, many times a day. A lot of that stuff is still out there!

No pics, but I did once get to be one of the "crankers" in the ride; they were children who turned crack-powered pumps to remove the water from the diving bell (at least that is what I recall from my very early years). I remember being extremely stressed about the situation and didn't understand why my pump wasn't working correctly.  :)

Oh, that's OK! I never did understand why after taking 10 rides a day on the thing, five days per week, for over five years, I never did find the silver...that really bugged me!
