Luke 24:5-8
"Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.'"
8 And they remembered His words.
It's a great day to go to church...a day to reflect on the Love of Jesus, His great sacrifice, and what His resurrection means for all of us.
Have a great day everyone!
Church was awesome today (well it is every Sunday - but especially today because it's EASTER SUNDAY).
HE IS RISEN!
AMEN!
The most significant event in human history is celebrated today. Alleluia! He is risen!
One Solitary Life
He was born in an obscure village, a child of a peasant woman.
He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty,
Then became an itinerant preacher.
He never wrote a book.
He never held an office.
He never did one thing that usually accompanies greatness.
He had no credentials but Himself.
While still a young man, public opinion turned against Him.
His friends ran away.
One denied Him.
He went through the mockery of a trial.
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves.
His executioners gambled for His only piece of property - His coat.
He was laid in a borrowed grave.
Nineteen wide centuries have come and gone.
Today He is the centerpiece of the human race.
All the armies that ever marched,
All the navies that ever sailed,
All the parliaments that ever sat,
And all the kings that ever reigned put together,
have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as that
One Solitary Life.

I must encourage everyone to celebrate and appreciate the Gospel of Jesus Christ every week and every day; please don't leave your faith at the threshold of the church auditorium after a bi-yearly visit to the assembly.
...and the choir said, "Amen!" ;D
^Amen to that HB.
^^And I love that "One Solitary Life" poem. Thanks for posting that Mr. Rules!
HE IS RISEN, INDEED!!

By the way. Guess I'll start asking early. Are any of you folks gonna be at the City the week of June 20th?
I probably will. But then, I'm there pretty much every week. LOL
I lost my Dad suddenly March 29. He was so, so important to me, and life on this earth will never be the same.
My only peace is because of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise God
^I'm so sorry HM. Holidays are always such a tough time when a loved one has been lost.
Thank you Coaster. He was the most honest, upstanding man you could have ever met. He loved going to Silver Dollar City because of the theme. He said he would love to work there when he retired, and boy he would have made a good mountain man. If it needed to be done he could do it. If he gave you his word, it was better than a contract.
I always said he was loaned to us from another time period. A real throw back. Incredibly smart, funny and a true Ozarker through and through.
