I don't know if I am the only one who has noticed but our fountain of information on park history Old Guy has not been on since March 25, 2009.. Just wanted you to know we miss you Old Guy.
I do miss Old Guy. Such a wealth of HFE knowledge. :)
As for why he's not on very often anymore, I remember one of his posts. He said that he wouldn't have ready access to the internet anymore so he wouldn't be on as often.

Docspeleo (and his alter ego) are out there on Facebook, as well as in the park.

I ran in to OLD GUY at the park. Him and his wife are working at the Dulcimer. They were working on Saturday. I stopped buy and had a nice talk.
I wish I had known that before our trip last week, but it is good to know for the future.
I was kind of wondering what happened to Themeparkguy. He has been active recently but no posts for a couple of months.
Hey OklaSDCfan...can you give us more details about what you and Old Guy talked about? How long will he and his wife be on park and are they becoming permanent "citizens" again...I sure hope so! Is he "wired" again so he can participate on SDC Fans again? He and I worked together and it would be great to connect with him again!
He and his wife have moved back into the area. I think they are working for the dulcimer shop and not the park. I do know that on Sundays they are working at the Dulcimer shop on the strip in Branson.
Great! I have not heard him play in years...it's been so long that I never have heard the two of them perform. He was single when I last saw him. I still have his first two albums "Fragments" and "Regina." I love them because as backing musicians and singers there are several people that I worked with on park. Problem is, they are both 33 1/3 format. My record player is out of commission, and I need to get a new one!

Hey, I appreciate the shout out. This should probably go under the Professions thread (that I just noticed) but work keeps me pretty busy and I do like to lurk more and more....it's tons more fun sometimes! It's like a full time job keeping pace with the new threads and conversation on here.
We really have not heard from Doc in a while, and I understand Old Guy is not wired right now. If you two are checking in on us here...we miss your regular input and want you back when you have the time. I was wondering about BetaMike, but he's just responded, and it was good to hear from him. Lurking, huh? OK...
This way I don't get charged rent for crashing on the forum's couch and eating all the viddles from the Moderator's fridge.
Lurking is sometimes better than direct participation because you can find out what's going on, what's on peoples minds, and yet...they don't know what you are up to..."Big Brother" either! ;)

Ha! :) However, I'm the first person to admit to the fact that, unfortunately, some of the insiders have to be "politically correct" here, Sometimes holding back a bit makes sense...if you don't want to get in trouble and keep your career. I do have a big issue with folks who try to tell me what I can say or not say or do and not do when I am "off the clock." My time is MY TIME, then. I know there is an image to protect, but, from what I've seen here, most everyone LOVES SDC! When we say someting critical, it's because we LOVE the place! (See my answer a few responses ago above.) Just in case anyone has their doubts...let me say it loud and proud here........I LOVE SDC! I CANNOT WAIT TO GET UP AND VISIT THE PLACE AGAIN! Five generations of my family have been entertained at a Herschend property in Branson...and we will be back! In about another ten years or so, generation six will be here, and I hope I can still be around to take them on out for a day or two of fun at one of the parks in Branson! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
