Sounds like a preexisting condition that was aggravated by a ride. Not really the ride's fault.

I agree- it'll be a settlement and pretty quick. Something like that isn't preexisting. The biggest key will be if they went through first aid at the park to establish that the injury happened at the park on the day they are claiming. If so, then there's the paper trail evidence and it will be a quick settlement. But if they didn't do that and just left and went to a doctor later, then it gets a bit more complicated. Hard to know since the article doesn't give any of that info, but I'd be surprised if they didn't go through first aid at the park.
