I didnt know whether to start a new thread, or tie this up into another :-\ :-\
SO? new thread it is..
Thursday-12-22-16... 21,000 people!!! WOW, If this is any indication to the endo of the year numbers, The PTB should be very happy :D
I will get fridays number over the weekend.. Although I am on vacation next week, I will try to monitor next weeks number also..
That's crazy good, and I'm glad I wasn't there! ;D
It's good that they'll get some good days to make up for the loss of last weekend + Christmas being on a weekend. They aren't open tomorrow for Christmas Eve (a good thing), so hopefully the reasonably decent weather next week gives them a good final run.
I'm looking forward to them being open for New Years next year.
a real surprise to me, with so many people on thursday, i expected a big crowd friday..
friday, about 5100 people.. :o :o

Weather was unpleasant all day. Rain, drizzle, wet, windy and just yucky. Not surprised those numbers were way down.
The rest of this week will likely make up for it, as it's supposed to be unseasonably nice weather most days.
I'm here on the 26th and it's a little bit packed. The park is open 1-9 today.
Mondays totals :o :o :o :o
over 24,500!!
And thats just Monday, supposed to be a perfect week.... HANG ON!!...
no numbers yet... lol, pretty early, but traffic backed up past 465 since 1:00........... :o :o
You want to see packed? Try an Orlando park this week. Luckily my family knows how to navigate the parks and keep waits to a minimum
Wonder how you got these numbers. Thought SDC didn't release park numbers. Also curious on the percentages on season pass holders versus one day tickets. Always been curious on how many season pass holders actually attend the park.

I dont access to that kind of info.. there may be 1 or 2 guys on this board that can do that... but would probably week or month at a time.. not daily...
ANYWAY... Tuesdays number was a little over 15,500, i was surprised with the road traffic i saw, the number wasnt bigger..
Look for big numbers tomorrow and friday, good temps, nice weather, last days of the year......
Thanks for the updates Sanddunerider!
Wasn't trying to be rude, if that's how you took it. I was just curious is all.

Some of us go to the park enough that we make friends . And find out how to get the info, this has to be done in some part for staffing ect.

Dude! NO OFFENSE taken. LOL.. just answering you question, I apoligize if it sounded "short".
MHguy explained it better than I did.
Wed. - - number little over 15,000 people
Every day this week there's been an update on the SDC app that park hours were extended to 10pm. Normal closing would have been at 9pm.
weather had been picture perfect this week.. last night in branson about 830.. it was still 63 degrees!!
:o is it possible for a train to leave the station every ten minutes? Every time I check it's usually 20 or 30 minutes. I have never seen ten. And hours were extended for the fourth day in a row today.
Looks like thursday is going to be about 16,000.

During Christmas, yes it is possible. During the rest of the year, no. A train leaving every 20 or 30 minutes means they are running one train, which is normal during the spring, summer, and fall. But because of the very large crowds wanting to ride during the Christmas season they'll run 2 trains during it. If there's 2 trains, then yes, it's every 10 minutes that it's leaving.
I doubt that you'll see it at any time other than Christmas though, because to do it requires a rather large increase in staffing, and the lines to justify that are only close on the busiest of summer Saturdays and almost no other time. So even though with the engines they recently bought they could have the equipment, they're not likely to be willing to pay for the increase in wages and fuel to do it at any time other than Christmas.
Really only 16k there today (Thursday)? I left just before 6 and had come from wonderful life to the pizza place then out when the pizza place was too busy. It was hard to walk. You could walk but my patience was wearing thin....
Did not help that I had an encounter DURING dickens with people sitting next to me... kind of messed up the day
