According to the article in Branson Tri-Lakes News, there is a new addition for OTC 2015 -- Rudolph's Christmas Town. It will be a place for meet and greets with Rudolph and Bumble, some pay to play games, Clarice's cookies. Adjacent to Rudolph's Christmas Town, will be Santa Clause Lane, a new area in which to meet Santa.

The article also has info about OTC and White Glove.
Someone in another thread mentioned that Santa was gonna be in the River Blast station this year... So, I'm guessing the Santa Clause Lane could be located in the drained trenches of the ride? And the Christmas Town inside the Carousel Barn?
Can't wait to see what it all looks like!
That should be interesting/different... Nice addition for the season
Who is going to be there this weekend?
"Santa Claus Lane" is the path to RB's load station and then the bridge back out. Nothing of the ride will be used.
I'm terrible at keeping track of this stuff, but didn't they do something similar last year with just the reindeer? Seems like they are really focused on character meet and greets lately.
I wonder what the "pay-to-play" things are going to be like.

Ah, okay! I wasn't sure. Thanks for the clarification.

They had Rudolph and Bumbles in the Carousel Barn too but it was too crowded. This is more for good crowd flow/control.
The pay to play games are called "Reindeer Games" and will feature small Christmas themed carnival games that guarantees a winner. (Basically paying for a souvenir with a game thrown in)
Or you could just go to Bass Pro/Outdoor World and play for free.
Questions:
Are they still using the Carousel Barn for something?
Are they making people stand in a line that is basically outside in the cold to see Santa?
Will the decor be completely new?
Will people have to cross a raft to exit?
Carousel Barn = Rudolph & Friends
New roof built over RB queue, heard that area will be heated (sides?)
Some new/some reused decor
Sounded like a bridge across moat in station was constructed
I am glad to hear they are using part of RB, that area looked like a black hole last.. shut down and ignored,
at least a couple of years ago they set up lights in that area (may have been longer ago than that),,,
Hate to say it but wow was this a huge disappointment! They should change the name to Rudolph's Selling Merchandise Town! Meet n Greats were terribly handled. We just joined the line (5 minutes) to see the characters when all the sudden they closed it! We were fine but the families in front who had been waiting 20-30 minutes were understandably upset. One of the workers response was well we can't please everyone! For a few minutes I thought we were at Six Flags! Half the space was Meet N Greats, the rest was a Rudolph merchandise location and over priced games. To say our kids were underwhelmed was an understatement. Apparently Santa wasn't selling enough merch because he has been kicked out back.

Was there sunday,
didn't see a new roof,
did see limited décor,
line to see santa,
No bridge...............
UNLESS I was in the wrong area...!!!....LOL
Must've been! I hauled in the trees, the whole RB barn is loaded with trees, decor, and lights. All the outdoor tarps were removed and a brand new roof built over the entire area.
#PWND
LOL

So I missed it ??? :o ??? :o
When I m there in 2 weeks, tinmann, I will give you a buzz. I will be there most of the day.. You can give me a tour of the New area...
I didn't go past the kids and parents that were in line, So I must have missed it ALL....!!!
Is this the last year for Rudolph? I ask because in Manby's Seaworld releases yesterday, thy mention Rudolph coming to those parks next year. Did HFE sublicense rights or did Seaworld aquire them going forward? It raises suspicion that once Seaworld is stabilized one may aquire the other or are we seeing a strategic partnership being formed? :)
Looking into the barn, half the roof you see at top is all new~
Manby connection or not...it makes no sense to me why HFE would want to partner with SeaWorld in any fashion right now. They are a company in turmoil with way too much controversy surrounding them. Why tarnish the HFE name to those who are against SeaWorld right now? Doesn't line up for me.
Also, didn't SDC just start using Rudolph last season? That would be a very short run.

Well SeaWorld is using it so some deal has been struck.
You're probably right but I'm just saying I do not agree with it.
Well DW and SDC are nowhere near any of the SEAS parks so what does it matter?

I wasn't in the barn, I was on the south side of building between it and RB fence,,,, Where the kids line up to see santa outside...
didn't even look inside. I will in 2 weeks...
Explains why I missed it..
It doesn't matter if SeaWorld has Rudolph. Wasn't my point. I don't want the Herschend name to be associated with SeaWorld right now. Doesn't make any business sense to me. I was just referencing the rumors of SeaWorld buying out Herschend which we have talked about before, and I do not want that to happen.
Anyway, back on topic.

Don't be a DB. Like your university is any better - and if you think that the same crap won't come to Fayettenam sooner or later you're living in a fantasy world.
Want to discuss SDC, do it. If you want to be an a$$hat, go somewhere else.
That escalated quickly... Herschend does not own Rudolph, they simply have licensing rights. Anyone can have the licensing rights to a product, this has nothing to do with HFE and Seaworld, it has everything to do with Manby and his marketing background.

You'd figure they'd want exclusivity to those rights in a theme park settings considering they are now basing so much of their Christmas season on those. Didn't SDC alone drop 1 million into rethemeing the parade to this IP. I don't see SF having to share WB, DC, and HB cartoons IPs. If it has to do with just Manby, mighty nice of him to leave that backdoor unlocked before he left.
