Title: Labor Day Weekend crowds?
Post by: NicMarie on August 11, 2015, 08:54:13 AM
My family is thinking of making a trip down to Branson for Labor Day weekend. We would spend a day or two at SDC. Anyone have a good estimate of what the crowds would be like? We'd probably be there Sunday and/or Monday. Thanks!

Last Big weekend the year?
sunday -  Park will be pretty busy, you will see lines throughout most of the day at most rides,. (probably)
Monday- not as busy, Most people headed home on Monday....

We get these questions pretty often, and the answers are always along the lines of: probably, maybe not, but it'll almost certainly be worth going anyway.

Objectively it's a weekend that would be prime for big crowds since it's a three day weekend and it's the last hurrah of summer. However, sometimes enough people avoid the park on supposedly "big" weekends that the crowds turn out to be OK. Plus if there's any hint of rain the park could very well end up deserted.

A lot of people in the park will be there for the gospel music shows and not for the rides since Southern Gospel Picnic is going on.
