Now that Dolly Parton has acquired the Lumberjack Feud dinner show in Pigeon Forge, how long before we see this concept duplicated and perhaps come to Branson?
Also, will Pirates Live ever come to Branson? The Dixie Stampede in Myrtle Beach was converted over not that long ago.
Wow, I haven't kept up on this news. Those are some big movements on this part of the company that we've never really talked about.
I actually talked to a lady on the train at DW about the Lumberjack Feud show, and she wasn't impressed. Could be personal taste though. I wouldn't mind seeing it in Branson, and Pirates would be OK too, but I think they'll run into the issue of market saturation at that point. They've already got the Showboat as well.
I've never heard of Lumberjack Feud, but I just looked it up, and it looks pretty cool to me!
I saw the Lumberjack Fued last summer when I was in Pigeon Forge. It was actually quite an enjoyable show. The food was good (I'd say Dixie Stampede's is a bit better), and learning some history of logging/lumber jacking in the area was pretty cool. I'd say I like Dixie Stampede a bit more overall, but the audience participation in the Lumberjack Fued is far above that in the Stampede. It was fun, I'd certainly see it again.
If I have to eat without utensils I wont be seeing it period. ;D
BYOFork, Runner! ;D
