Hello, I am new to the forum and so glad to find a place for Silver Dollar City fans! I have lived my whole life here in the Ozarks and some of my favorite memories are from trips to SDC. I am building a collection of vintage SDC souvenirs and ephemera, it is so much fun searching for it. Some of the things in my collection are from father's trips as a child. I am including some pictures from my collection.
I have just started looking around, but I am seeing some great stuff on here. I am so excited to learn more about the history of one of my favorite places!

My first trip to Silver Dollar City! I obviously was too young to remember this trip, but it is one of my favorite photos.

This was my dad's packet of Viewmaster reels. One of my absolute favorites, which helped to start my huge Viewmaster collection.

OK, deannaduff, that mess on the floor is from some of the other members salivating over your collection. It looks like you are our kind of people! Welcome, and please keep sharing.
Thanks! I will, this is so much fun.
I agree that it will be great having you as a new member! Welcome! You have a great collection. I recognize some things from your collection. A $2.15 ticket! WOW!
Wow...what a tremendous collection. Thank you for sharing!
Welcome deannaduff! Great collection of stuff, Thanks for sharing the photos!!
Thanks for sharing!
Welcome! And keep the pics coming. Great Stuff!!!!
Killer stuff you got there! I have a size able amount of things ( a few hundred post cards, many brochures, books, etc) and you have a thing or two that I don't ( and that's saying something!)!
Keep it up!
@deannaduff have you listened to the LP before? If not you gotta do it, it brings back good memories of the park!
Yes. I have listened to it! The sounds of music upon entering the park was always one of my favorite things. I absolutely loved stopping to listen and dance a little jig as soon as I got to the city. I remember musicians sitting and playing on a little platform just before entering the hopitality house. That was always the perfect start to the day for me. There definitely isn't as much of that anymore. Especially enjoyable is the flooded mine song on the album!
My husband gave me another album for my birthday a few weeks ago. Umy and the Goodtimers Play Silver Dollar City. It was a good listen as well.
Flooded min and the rainmaker are two of my favorites on the sounds LP.
