These have popped up a time or two but I thought I'd open a forum for these and a first request for any of the insiders. Are the photo montages still on the wall of the lounge? I would love to see them again and I'm sure the readers of the forums would love to see a good high def of SDC's past if anyone has the time/access/equipment. Here is a true insiders trivia!
I'm not sure and would like to know as well. I always loved looking at those!

Well, I have some time, equiptment & access..... So what photo montage are you talking about? right now on the walls we have pics of employees from the early years to the 80's? not sure I never really look when i'm in there.
i dont know if it is possible but i would like to see some pics of FitH with the lights on
Now I know that's possible and I know the person to get those too! lol
He's probably reading this lol......
Shame on you for never bothering to gaze in wonderment at the wizened elders who paved the foundations upon which the lofty hights you now live on were built. yep. those are the ones I'm talking about. I'm in the 80's one but I'm not saying who ;D
I'm not an insider, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing photos of FitH with the lights on and the employee photos montages! :D
I'll get lounge pics tomorrow
I'm still working on those pictures . . . . .
It's BUSY at the City
Take your time on those pictures DocSpeleo.
BUT HURRY! :D
Don't mean to steal your thunder Doc, but I had my camera at work today so I just went up to the lounge and took some shots. These may not be the best quality because I had to stand to the side on some to reduce the glare from florescent lights, flash, etc.
These are of the photo montages. Some of the people in these pictures I know or recognize, but most I do not.

These are terrific. I love the old shots and the old maps. Thank you for posting them.
Thanks for posting these Zephon. They used to have a really nice black and white series of photos of some of the citizens in there, have they removed those? They were somewhat professionally done from what I remember.
You're welcome.
Well, they do have the Wall of Fame. These are color photos of people who have worked there long enough to qualify for profit sharing, which was 5 years, but now may be 3. They started that display back in the 70's I think, so it's fun to go see pictures of employees as they appeared way back when. They're categorized according to the year they started. Mine was originally under 1976, but I left the company for a year so now it is under my return year. I'm not sure they are too diligent in getting pictures of the newer people anymore. It seems like the number of pictures doesn't grow much or very quickly anymore.
I considered taking pictures of those, but felt that, with the glass cases being so reflective and the individual pictures relatively small, they wouldn't turn out very well.
I submitted that "extra credit" photo to Steve for the site... I sent in pictures of Ada Mae, Mr. M Balmer and the Warden... I found Terry a few times in different costumes still need to get him as Doc Harris though...
Great photos! Thanks for sharing, Zephon! Definitely worth the wait! ;D
Wow that picture of "Butch" from the Flooded Mine is from awhile ago... he's a rather young man in that photo. I'm surprised there is none of Rusty "Gunner" as both him and Butch have been working at the park for quite awhile and those two really perfected the current script used for Alphie and Ralphie on the Frisco.
Cool stuff, but still not the ones I remember. There were collages just inside the front doors of the lounge. One black and white with vintage shots like marshal Norm deputizing some kid, etc. The other was in color with a lot of 80"s shots. Are these gone?
I remember the ones you're talking about, and sadly, they're not there any more. There are a number of pictures up in the Admin building, maybe they are up there. I'll have to check.
Wow, thanks so much for those pictures Zephon. It was really cool. What I love about the employee pictures is seeing the look of joy by just--being there on everyone's face.
