Title: Tailgaters Solution
Post by: How-doFolks on July 28, 2013, 07:47:01 AM
I thought this was pretty funny, BUT, you would have to back ya'rself up to one of them crazy confrontational drivers. I wouldnt do it.... Tailgaters i just do the speed limit & dont look at'm, & just let'm go. I've had 2 situations in my life with crazy drivers. :o

 ;D

At one point in my life, I spent a lot of time driving I-30 at night between Texarkana and Little Rock, with young kids in the back seat on at least one leg of the trip.

The number of 18 wheelers who would tailgate with highbeams on was amazing, and I'm talking some cases where I couldn't even see the front bumper in my mirrors because they were so close, but there was only one lane due to construction, and I was as close to the vehicle in front as I could possibly be. It's not like I was holding up traffic...

Anyway, I schemed and planned, and if I'd had access to today's much cheaper super high output LEDs, I would have gone through with my plan to build and install on the rear deck some superbright white strobes aimed right at the drivers behind me.

I hate tailgaters! I got pulled over yesterday morning because of a tailgater. I ended up going 83 on the hwy to keep him from running me over. He goes around me and I look into  my mirror to see a cop... I was late for church and got a $120 ticket from a cop who first words were "What is wrong with you!!!!!!! He was very rude to me, but nice to my passenger...So that's pretty much how yesterday went.

Ok here's an I-44 story for ya

Headed to Branson a couple years ago at 4AM headed up I-44. I was in Eastern Oklahoma somewhere around Vanita, when my wife caught a glimpse of a smashed up car with no lights on in the left lane. There ain't no street lights out there, so it was really hard to see.  I pulled over and started walking towards it and noticed that it was smoking pretty badly. By this time at least one other person had stopped and he called 911.   Everyone was concerned that it might be on fire and could explode. I didn't see a driver or any passengers but the guy who called 911 told me to stay clear of it in case it was on fire, He was going to stay until the cops got there. So the wife and I said a quick prayer and started once again down I-44. From the looks of the car, whoever was in there was probably dead.
