Title: Question about Harvest Fest
Post by: MandyTG on May 02, 2013, 10:31:30 PM
We are thinking about going to Harvest Fest this year. We have never been to this particular Fest before. I was looking at some of the acts that will be there and most of the stated their location as Valley Road. I'm just trying to figure out how they can fit in Texas Trick Riders, etc. Is there a location that's not usually open during the rest of the year?

In the past they have done the Trick Riding in the Red Gold Heritage Hall. They lay a lot of dirt in the stage area.

Dodging trick riders makes the barn dance much more interesting  ;D

No barn dance this year, just trick riders

To be honest, we went to the barn dance, but ended up just sitting and watching for a short bit before leaving. It just wasn't really appealing to our group of younger people. If they still do a dance, I can imagine them setting it up in a smaller venue and it would work fine.

The Barn Dance will probably be in the Frisco Barn then.  They've done it in there before

There were horses performing tricks on the town square just behind the gazebo last year. Sometimes there were riders. Was not a good situation. for the horses or the people watching. The lead guy made the comment that he didn't know that he and his horses were going to be performing on "Black Grass" (asphalt).
