Title: Media Photos on SDC Site - Marvel Cave
Post by: DocSpeleo on June 25, 2008, 08:39:17 PM
So I was looking at the photos on the SDC website that the media can download to use in different press related activities . . . . and this was one of them....<br>

Notice anything weird about this photo?
This is a photo trying to get people to go on the Lantern Tour but the lights are on! lol makes me laugh!!!!!
Why would they do that? Photos turn out fine in the cave with lanterns and slow shutter speed.  Look very nice actually.... would have shown off the whole lantern aspect of the tour.

I'm a Jr. Member now! woo hoo!!! lol YEAH!!!

This one is on the website as well, and makes the weirdness even more glaring, considering the guide is pointing at the back-lit waterfall...

It also appears that about half of the group is holding their lanterns aloft for a better look...

And the kid at the very back is selling the lantern effect a little too well, since the chamber is clearly very well lit.

It is definitely worth the extra time and money.  the tour is great.  there is so much more information given on the lantern tour and it is so much more personal.  20 people or less go so it feels like your own personal tour.
