Title: Interactive map on new website..
Post by: sanddunerider on March 19, 2013, 12:42:09 PM
OK.. Just for fun... I was playing on the map and noticed that they have at least 1 location, maybe 2 wrong...lets see what we can find and keep a list going here...  It may help the PTB go back and repair/modify the website to be more accurate...

They have the Hand waxworks in the "old" location..  (last years).

Also I thought they did away with the "Hiddedn Treasure Sluice" by RB? It is on the map also..

That is all isee for right now...when I have tme i will be looking for more.. ;)

The sluice has moved over to along the path running from the Tom & Huck store connected to the Carousel Barn down the stream to the entrance of the Riverfront Theater. However, the map does have the sluice in its old location instead of the new. They also haven't put up the new Cokes & Floats across the way from Crossroads Pizza.

So, yeah, they've still got some tweaking to do.

I also noticed they did not mention, opera house, boatworks theatre as "entertainment locations"...

hmmm??..

I have photos of all the changes that happened in the Rivertown area.  Trying to get them edited and online by tomorrow night.

Noticed you said "Rivertown area", and that got me to thinking. What is the offical name to that area now? I know that around Lost River it is refered to as Riverfront, but with Tom Sawyers Landing now offically gone, what is that area being called? Riverfront? Rivertown? Just curious.
I know way back when, when that area was first being developed it was called Deepwoods.
But of couse, in my mind, I will always think of it as Tom Sawyers Landing.

Okey dokey,, I can officially say i DONT like the new "daily schedule" part of website. >:( >:(.

Cant print the "multi day" calender,

Does not tell us location where the entertainers are.

I (used to) always print the entertainment part of the pathfinder so i could plan my visit..

It's been a few years since I've been, so I wouldn't really know if anything was in the wrong place, but sometimes it's hard to hover over certain things to find out what they are because they are so close together.

I really like this map, though! It is making planning our trip so much easier!
