Since I had two little boys with me on our trips last year, I never made it into the candle shop. I remember loving the candle shop when I went as a kid because they let you pick a candle to dip in the colored wax, and I think it was free (one per kid). Is that something they still offer? I can still remember the smell in that shop and watching the artist make the pretty candles.
Yep! Carrie's Candles is still open, and candles are still there for the making. It's still lots of fun for the kids! :)
And it still smells the same!
That's great! Can't wait to go next time!
Yep with the exception of the early pre-world fest time (April) it is open all season.
I love Carries Candles. Unfortunatly they are bringing in more and more non-sdc candles. My wife and I have a an autumn candle (made at SDC) that we bought 2 years ago (never have burned it) and it smells up the entire room when we have put it out the last 2 years. It is still just as strong as the day we purchased it.
My mom still has a large plastic tub of all of my hand-dipped candles I made as a kid!
That's neat you still have yours. I guess mine got trashed long ago . . .
