I know, pretty interesting......I'm used to them coming from Colorado but here??? Why not?
Yikes! Mountain lions and bears are becoming more and more common again in the Ozarks. Had a co-worker at work tell me her husband went deer hunting a few years ago, he stopped at the end of the hunt to relieve himself, and a bear charged him. He took home the bear and put it in his freezer, too!
Oh, mercy! Well, as long as this kitty keeps itself in the woods then I will be happy. Mountain lions are definitely not a part of the Christmas Festival. :P
Arkansas Game and Fish denied, denied, denied for the longest time and now the line is that they are exotic pets that got released when the owners couldn't handle them any longer or afford to feed them. Also, the theory is they are the native pop from Mexico that's made the long journey here over time. The original species found in the Ozarks way back were more in common to the florida panthers much like the long vanished eastern elk.
Don't know about that but we were literally an inch away from smearing a deer on Indian Point . Luckily my wife slammed the breaks, we skidded and fish tailed just at the right time to allow the deer that jumped over the guard rail to clear the front end of our car...SCARY
GULP! :o Glad you are safe!
