Hi everyone, I sure hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I am a local artist, mostly out of Springfield Mo, looking to find a place to offer my drawings and be able to continue to do custom drawings for others. I draw graphite drawings on white paper, I also do reversal drawings, Black paper/white charcoal as well as regular charcoal drawings on white paper. I never make prints, I sell only the original drawings. I have attempted to do local fairs, festivals and I just can't seem to get anywhere with this. My dream would be to get into Branson. Any and all information would be appreciated.

Ever contact SDC about having a lease shop on park? Depending on how much you want to invest in your business, this may be something to check out. Call them...it won't hurt to meet with someone and talk about your plans. You could do a booth in the Ozark Marketplace or Hospitality House, maybe have a small booth in a high traffic area on the park. Also would encourage you to check with area newspapers and magazines to see if they would need someone to do some illustrations. Ever have any gallery shows? I'd also encourage you to continue doing festivals, shows, arts and crafts events, and so on. Ever think about doing illustrations as a courtroom reporter/illustrator? On rare occassions, local TV may need someone for that. Best wishes, it is hard to make a living in art. I tip my hat to anyone with your talent, good luck!
