WOW!! didnt see this post untill today....

Yeah.....at only 300$/person. :o :o
yeah! only...... :o
sounds like a lot to me for no more extras than they are receiving.... maybe 150.00??
As familiar as we sdcfans are with the park, they ought to make US the tour guides. (Tips accepted!) ;)
Are you ready for the really sad part?
Sans the valet parking, you can get all that for $30 plus get a lot more stuff at Coaster Christmas.
It seems like in another thread we were discussing SDC needed to do this.....but not for that price. That is way too steep. I could see 300/a group. Not a person.

Heck, the wife & i can go to SDC for 2 days, & back home for less than $300.00. :)
It does sound like some cool stuff, but not for that price. :o

Yup! A 6 hr. drive to and from, a day at the City, a round of mini-golf, couple new dry flies, and a few meals for two cost me $484 two weeks ago.
yep under $300 each weekend trip (factoring in that we have a season pass, and that is no cost by the time we get to the park.
$300.00 does seem rather pricey. And its something I will never be able to afford. But if you break the package down into its individual parts. It's not quite as exorbitant as it seems.
Admission cost 60.00
Dinner Cost 15.00
Trailblazer Pass 27.00
Valet Parking 25.00
Lantern Tour 10.00
Sounenir mugs 13.00
Show lovers pass 11.00
====
161.00
So basically your paying 139.00 for the personal tour guide and behind the scenes access. Still its something most of us could never afford. Swoosh is right--Coaster Christmas is definitely a better value.
Parson, you rright about the prices, but it does say.
"you may want to include"----
•Time With Santa
•Lantern Light Tour Of Marvel Cave
•Holiday Light Parade Viewing From Saloon Balcony
•Behind The Scenes Tour Of Brown's Candy Factory
•Behind The Scenes Tour Of Eva & Delilah's Bakery
So I think these items are extra....
Just sounds initially high, but to a newcomer that has money, I can see where it may be an option, But a family of 4? 1200!! really!!....
For everyone complaining about the price, you are not the person being marketed to here. I assure you most of the people who buy passes like this won't think twice about dropping $300 per head. I doubt they expect a whole lot of people to buy these, but they are available for the few that want it.
You're right Shave. We aren't the ones being market to here. But we are the ones who would love to do this the most.
To me, a VIP Tour would include some serious behind the scenes time, and I am not talking about just the candy factory, and bakery. I want a VIP Tour that showcases behind the scenes at the train maintenance shop, the mysterious warehouse where theme elements, and costumes are stored, behind the curtains of the shows such as the Saloon, or check out behind the walls at Fire in the Hole, or heck even the employee only work areas. ;D
