We are getting close, any info or rumors on 2012 Christmas and show locations etc?
It will not be long till its in full swing, I am wondering about the seasons passes prices and BAF for 2013.
Anyone have any info?
Everything you need to know is on this page: http://festivals.bransonsilverdollarcity.com/mini-section/default.aspx?id=55
There are no rumors or secrets.
The season pass prices won't be made known till they go on sale in early November.
My husband and I are expecting a raise in the price of the passes. Good heavens gas prices are getting out of hand. :o And because of that food costs are skyrocketing. :-\ Just to cover those costs will surely mandate a raise. :'( I'm sure they'll do everything to keep any price hike to the bare minimum. :)
I still think the early SP price will be 71-73 dollars to compete with years past... we will find out in about 60 days or so..
I'm with you, Sanddune - I don't imagine they will raise the price much. They have quite a lot of renewed interest in the park. They are going to want to get as many people in there as possible; a big price increase will knock a lot of visitors right out of the market.
If anyone is in town for OTC a day early...check this out!

if dickensnis in the opera house, where r they doing the other presentation at?.....AND while we are on the topice, where is the ntivity scene at?
I thought someone said earlier that "It's A Wonderful Life" is going to be in the Red Gold Hall.
that is what I would expect to see, just wanting confirmation..
I want to go to OTC this year. I dont know if I will have the funds. I considered a bake sale, lol. I have NEVER had the chance to go. My small family I know will adore it. Maybe my note taker paycheck would pay for a trip and dinner at the city.....maybe. If gas does not go down it will take the whole dern thing to even make the little under two hour trip.

Thanks Swoosh!! i knew you would have the answers....
Granted it, that list is subject to change - but that is the current line up.
I would imagine that Pure Heart would show up somewhere, but have not heard IF and/or where yet
I love that the Living Nativity has been moved to Riverfront Playhouse. I never liked the broadway rendition they had going on at Red Gold. Hopefully that will change too, along with the venue.
Of course, my favorite Living Nativity was the simple one that took place behind the Wilderness Church. Everyone sat on bales of hay and watched. That was many years ago.

When we attended OTC a couple of years ago, one of our favorite shows was Pure Heart with Tracy Heaston. We actually watched them 3 times. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back this year (not going to happen though).

Josh, I have you covered!!! I think we r doing OTC 3 weekends this year...
Any word on what the holiday ornament is going to be? Looks like I'm going to miss it by one festival again this year. I meant to come down this weekend and make it to the Harvest Festival, but it looks like that won't be possible.

According to this week's entertainment schedule, Pure Heart will be performing at the Gazebo for 4 shows during the day. Tracy Heaston will be performing 4 shows at the Gazebo late afternoon through early evening. The tree music will be turned off during Tracy's shows.
Per SDC's Facebook page: this Saturday December 8th, park hours have been extended to 11 am-10:30 pm :o (turnstiles open at 10:30 am). I remember them doing something similar last year on a busy Saturday night to accommodate everyone.

Warm temps during OTC are definitely a gift - to the City and the patrons! I think my first year at OTC was the year it snowed and sleeted. BRRR!!!!!
Just released on FB,.. Extended hours again this saturday,,, "15th"...
I just read on Terry Sanders' FB page, that SDC is open untill 10:30 again tonite... I didnt see the announcement from SDc this week..
I got an email about that.
FYI-- Looks like extended hours this sat again.. I checked the show guide and 1st item is at 11 AM, and the Final parade of the day is @ 10pm..
see schedule here: .http://hfeimages.aristotle.net/General/Dec%2026-30%20schedule.pdf
I wonder if they will go back to the longer hour schedule they used to have next year.
Any info on last week of operation discounts on merchandise?
gilligan, i checked the 2013 schedule and it shows normal hours, BUT if we have mild temps during oTC again, you can expect the longer hours....
Junior, I have not seen anything about deeper discounts anywhere yet..
I was in the HH and OMP today and a lot of stuff is marked 75% off. Bought a nice Christmas sweatshirt for my wife...$4.30.
So we need to plan to go with a bucketload of cash on the last operation al day next year. Noted!
