Even though she actually celebrates in...June (ironic isn't it!), June Ward and others were presented with their Anniversary awards this morning. June has been with Silver Dollar City officially now for 45 years and I just spoke to her. She was humbled and was so appreciative of all the people who came out to see her.
If you make it to the City (Tuesday - Saturday), stop in and let the "Brown Family" that you heard Aunt June looks younger than her actual time with the City! It's true!!!
Are you sure it was 45 and not 40?
45 is correct.
Congratulations, June! Happy corporate anniversary!
What's in a name? In honor of June's milestone anniversary, the store portion of Brown's Candy has been renamed "Aunt June's Copper Kettle Candies"!!!!
Shop renamed for June? What a "sweet" thing to do! After 45 years, they ought to erect a peanut brittle statue of her in the demonstration area! ;D Happy anniversary, Aunt June! Yeeaaaaaaaaah!
Congratulations!! Maybe one day a piece of the City will be named after me...? ;)
What an amazing accomplishment! Here is to at least five more years, and to reaching fifty! They really should rename it to "Aunt June's Candy Factory." ;D
Well for some reason this post is just now showing up in my "Show unread post since last visit" section.
Anyhoo, this is GREAT news! I am so happy that the park honored her in this way!
