My best friend graduated from high school tonight! I am so proud of him! He graduated with High Honors, was in National Honor Society and has already been accepted into SEMO for a Performing Arts major, minor in Spanish and Psychology. Did anyone else have a graduating senior this year that they are SUPER proud of?

I graduated this year and will be attending SEMO as well!
My nephew graduated this year, we are going to his graduation on Sunday. He was accepted to play basketball in Warrensburg Mo.
I am a 1987 graduate of SEMO, majored in mass communications, minored in business. I worked with some of the performing arts students back then, and it was a great program. Congratulations to our graduates at sdcfans.com, and to those going to SEMO, enjoy your college time, it is a nice campus and the people in Cape Girardeau are friendly. Cape is a historic town on the eastern edge of the Ozarks, too. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, bars, and so on to enjoy with college life. At the time I went to SEMO it was known as the K-Mart of colleges because tuition was so cheap. I got a $500 scholarship through participation in a mass communications club on campus, and it was enough to pay for almost two semesters of classes! Ah, those were the days. :)
I am inundated with graduations this year! Two nephews, my adopted daughter - aka - my best friend's daughter :), and quite a few of my former students have sent me graduation invitations this year! I'm going broke this month, but I'm proud of all of them!!

UCM is a great school! I am graduating from Warrensburg High School and i considered going to UCM but i decided not to go to college so close to home... That is awesome that he will be playing for the Mules though, they are one of the best D-II schools out there!

They estimated that it will cost me about $18,000 a year, but i have a few scholarships that should take care of a lot of it. But $500 sure beats the heck out of $18,000! It will be worth it though because I absolutely adore the area, Cape is a beautiful town!
Best to you, CJ. One of my classmates...a fellow who in part I helped train...graduated with me and went on to become an insurance agent right out of college. However, on the weekends he traveled across country, working his way through comedy clubs doing stand up. Later, he started doing some acting. I knew him as Cedric Kyles from St. Louis, the world knows him as Cedric the Entertainer! With my SDC background, there are one or two drops of SDC style entertaining in Cedric, but it's buried because his own talent has carried him far. I have not seen him since graduation day, but I wish him well. He was always a nice guy in college.
Thanks Junior!
Wow! that's pretty cool that you knew him! I've seen his stand-up.
