How much city stuff do u have? I have a full wall full n my place. Share wht kind of stuff u have. I have plates and signs and old cups. How many drink cups cups u all have from the park. How old r they.
I kept everything from my years of employment there. Costume reciepts, newsletters, promotional material, brochures, maps, guide books. Mostly paper stuff. I did rescue a few small things from attractions that were being torn out for something new, a few little prop items from float trip and diving bell. I do have stuff from more recent years like mugs and cups, a doc harris plush, a few whitewater and celebration city items. I look for stuff at flea markets and yard sales. It is not hard to find if you look.
brother mike, dont get me started.. i have already thought of making a video of all the stuff we have. you need to figure out ya'r camera, take some pics, & get'm on here. that sign you have is the best!
gosh, we got t-shirts -- mugs -- cedar chips & shavings -- lumps of coal -- jewelry.... see, now ya done it!!
I have so much stuff, I don't know even know exactly how much I have! I can tell you what is in eyesight right now (I'm in my bedroom)...
- My name cut out of wood (from what is now a tshirt store in Ozark Marketplace)
- two different candles that you dip in wax
- 2 trading pins I got for Christmas a few years ago (Buckets and the Buggy Wheel of Fortune)
- a fabric strip rag doll from 2002
- a red garter (got for Christmas), purple garter (kinda like a friendship bracelet, me and my best friend got matching ones), and a pink garter (Show Choir girls all bought one after performing at SDC in 2010 to match our pink and black theme)
- handmade candle
- Bears in the Holler black ballerina dog (I got my best friend a gold dog dressed just like mine for her bday last year)
- Bears in the Holler Dalmatian (with Build-A-Bear navy overalls, red tshirt, black boots and fireman's hat I made look old... get it, FITH...)
- SDC coloring book
- 2 different history of SDC books
- Romeo & Juliet book my dad got me before the bookstore was turned into a broom shop
- Beverly Hillbillies at SDC
- 2 wooden roses
- SDC bag I use as a backpack
- SDC patch on my suitcase
- countless number of SDC paper bags just waiting for a special occasion where I need to wrap a gift
Just to name a few :)
should I really mention my things or is it just an unsaid thing that I have lots?
Oh, and another thing off the top of my head: a refillable mug from 2008, and a refillable mug with Christmas on it from, I think, 2005. We didn't buy it in 2005, we forgot our refillable mugs at home one trip, so when we ordered a root beer float from the saloon, they put it in the Christmas mug.
Wait do you mean what have I bought this week? That's still a whole lot of stuff!
Rube's collection is overwhelming.
I don't have much, but I have a simple collection of a custom glass mug, patches, lapels, brochures, and of course a wooden trail whistle. :)
A collection of shirts, hat, souvenir mugs, a couple books and that's it
I'm not really a collector or anything, but I have a SDC log cabin Christmas ornament that we bought on our honeymoon years ago. It's my favorite ornament - I hope it doesn't disintegrate some day (getting fragile). I have a collection of mugs, and of course, my favs - the OTC light up mugs that I don't think they sold last year.
I found my train whistle I got from SDC that I've had for EVER!!! I saw a picture of me with it right after I got it. I couldn't have been more than 5 years old.
I can't find the other thread for this, but I've got so much stuff from the years that I can't recall where I posted most of it. Let me just say this: I've been with Disney for 15 years and my SDC stuff outweighs all the stuff I've collected at Disney.

Yes, of everything I have, all nearly 800-900 items, I'd trade a good amount of it to have one of Beta's items. He has some good stuff.
One of my favorite collections of SDC stuff is my families collection of SDC glass dated ornaments. They stopped doing these around 05' or 06' maybe. My parents have a perfect collection starting from the mid 70's. Every year, its fun to bring those out, and place them in order around their tree.
One of my other favorite SDC items, is a large snow globe that my grandmother bought me about 10 years ago. It has the 5-story Christmas tree at the center of the globe with carolers, and scenes of the square surrounding it at its base. It really is beautiful, and I just love it, and it reminds me of my grandmother, and all the wonderful trips she was able to take with us.
I have a bolt from wildfire! Shortly after construction started in 2000 I wrote the park and to my surprise they sent me a packet that included one of the spare bolts from the ride. It even has a tag on it stating part number and the manufacturer B&M ;D
Dad and I were hitting garage sales about a month ago. We found a Silver Dollar City ash tray. Better yet, it was in the free box! Dad has custody of it because I don't have any place to put it right now.
No bolt from a ride, but I do have a railroad spike, and a piece of railroad tie... I have only seen two other spikes out in the market. I am sure there are others out there.

A spare bolt... That's comforting! Lol

That's funny!
My recent yard sale finds include four refillable mugs for a dime each. (But three did not have lids!) I've found a SDC ashtray from the 60's at a flea market, and at Goodwill I found a Rockettes mug for a Grand Palace Christmas show in the 90's. Other flea market finds include old Branson area post cards. From my days as an employee...a few small props from the float trip and diving bell era that otherwise would have been thrown in the dumpster when the old attractions were gutted and converted to what is there now.
Found just this morning at a yard sale. Three Marvel Cave Park SDC post cards. My pics are not grand of them but still a sweet find at 1.50 for all three!
