Hey there friendly sdc fans I need some help. I've got my fist season tickets and am I want to get really wet this time y'all. Can any of u folks can tell me a little somethin about ur favorite water rides?
thats easy: ;D
River Blast.!
I stay away from the water rides because the lines are always super long in the summer. If I had to pick it would be the American Plunge.
Well, that is hard.
Lost River of the Ozarks: You will either get drenched, partially wet or just kinda moist to dry. Dont get me wrong it is a FUN ride and is an institution! Dont miss it.
American Plunge: Again a hit or miss in the get soaked department. I have rode it and it is a hoot but have either gotten really wet or just partially moist.
Dont forget
Fire in the Hole: Good ride. Potential for sheer soakness or just moist. Sit in the right spot for optimal wetness. Ask around for the best spot.
River Blast: You will get very wet. It has to be the best get soaked ride.
But ride them all. They each have their own unique experiance. All the rides do. SDC is an amazing place that is really hard to not have fun at.
i have to say missinthegreentrams i love your use of moist
Trams, I don't know. I have yet to ride American Plunge and not look like I fell in the lake! How did you stay moist? LOL
River Blast is great fun, too! I wasn't too keen on riding it, but once I did I loved it!! And I was soaked!
My very favorite all time ride - wet or not - is Fire In The Hole!
FIRRRRRRE IN THE HOOOOLLLLLEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, somebody had to do it!! ::) ::)
lets just hope Fire in the Hole still has the splash down at the end when we go back in March. DW's Blazing Fury felt so weird not having it.
Jim Owens' Float Trip.
I'm still peeved about that one. >:(
Yep. I miss Jim Owens too! :'(
i prefer the log ride cuz it is more ol'school type'ish of a ride.
Im not old enough to miss Jim Owens!
Out of the two choices, I would have to choose Lost River. It is sometimes hit and miss on whether you get drenched or stay bone dry. But it has the entertainment factor over American Plunge. AP used to be my favorite water ride, but the new cave just ruins it for me. I used to never get wet on AP. Then came back years later with my hubby and got soaked. It makes a difference where you sit on AP! When you fill up the car and sit in front you stay dry (;D), but just two people in back, you'll get pretty wet!
To stay dry on the plunge, you make sure you are the 2nd or 3rd person. When everyone leans forward going down hill, bend down as far as you can. The person in front of you and the people behind you get all of the water and you will come off dry to "moist" lol! I don't ride it because it makes me sick, but I do know how from when I was younger.
Okay yall moist is an underused word. lol ;D And I NEVER get soaked on AP. I love to ride it though! It makes me happy. All of SDC makes me happy. 15.4 days until opening day!!
thanks trams.,. i was getting ready to check!! ;D
I notice if I put the two heavest people (me being one of them) side by side, I tend to get really wet on Lost River. Just saying
When we rode Lost River my husband got placed by a really really big person. Not trying to be mean. They got soaked. hehehehe.
disappointed that the water guns on lost river were covered up this trip. I lost soaking riders as they go by.

I nailed a guy in the face once. At first he looked mad, then he started laughing so I guess he was ok.
With the choices in quick dry clothing, it's no big deal these days.
Between the two choices I have always gotten more soaked on the Lost River of the Ozarks than anything else. On the American Plunge you will get the most wet by sitting in the back as all that splashing water comes crashing down on top of you.
No matter how hard I try, I always seem to somehow get wet at Geyser Gulch. Water spurts up, and smacks you when you least expect it! :P
Bring goggles if you ride RiverBlast. Everyone will shoot you in the face. I've never opened my eyes on that ride, so I can't tell you much about the scenery. I don't think I'll ride it again, but I guess everyone should try it once.

I still haven't rode River Blast. Its either too cold to ride, or the line is too long every time I'm there.
Don't worry me either Tiff!
I rode the one at DW, and it looks pretty much the same, so it doesn't bother me either way to ride it or not.
I think I will save my River Blast trip for the Christmas Festival when they deactivate the water cannons. Yes, I just take the fun out of everything I do. :D
LOL Ozark..
That wil take the fun out of it, because during OTC 2011, river blast did not run at all..
Yes I know it did in 2010, BUT not 2011..
