That will be neat to see and a great find. Hope it comes to life and is as fun as it looks. But its hard not to have fun at the City!!!

I hope its a "during the day" thing and they still have the concert after park closing. I hope this doesn't replace it, even though it does look really cool! But it sounds like we'll have to wait til atleast the end of next year to find out. They need to give us more details about exactly when it is gonna be. I'll cyber stalk this show and let everyone know what I find when I find it between now and when they publically advertise it.

yes, with rehearsals "starting" in summer of 2012.... hard to tell when the show will start, but maybe at fall festival..

I doubt that it will be a 2 hour event to replace the GAC show...  I am hoping the GAC  show get a major revamp this winter,,  2 years of the same is enough...

After reading the article 4 or 5 times.....  I wonder if this will be a replacement for the "heading west" show..?

Good catch, Tiffanylynnt!  Yes, they're advertising the Western Stunt Show as part of the fall's Salute to the Great American Cowboy.  Yeehaw!  We're going to the City tomorrow- can't wait!

I am  surprised that since the PTB like to make promise and tease us for the following year, nothing has been said about the "new" western show??

That's what I was thinking, cuz Echo Hollow is empty during the day, then they could still have GAC Nights in the evenings.

I think its a great idea to use Echo Hollow for something other than a evening show. ( If they can)
It gets hot in there during the day.

I'd rather sit in a theatre than on a roller coaster anyday!
I love rides, but I'm a huge theatre nerd!  ;)

I made a big deal about the whole family hasn't gone to OTC all together yet this year, so I keep bugging Mom to take a day off work while my sister and I are on break from school so I can see Christmas Carol for the 110th time!  ;)

This sounds like a great show idea! Hopefully it doesn't replace the nightly EH show, but it gets revamped while this show could run during the day. It's good to know SDC is trying to keep their shows up to date and fresh so we don't get bored watching the same show all the time.

hmmmm??  lets see, tearing up the floor, removed ths steps to the main building. adding a story to the main building..  Something going on here..!!  this much work does make me wonder if they are replacing the GAC show....  AND still no word form the PTB about a "new" show or event......

I am kinda excited to see somethin goin on round there. It doesnt appear to be changing to much as of yet. I hope it works to our favor. Stick around kids, this year SDC has gifted us with several items to speculate about!

I'm getting more and more anxious to see how its gonna turn out!

"2012 - The Pinkerton Man - (12/19/11) BlooLoop reports that a new western / action stunt show called The Pinkerton Man will open at Silver Dollar City in 2012 under the creative hand of Mirage Entertainment. While they only had one piece of concept art to look at, it did remind me visually of the old Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show that used to be at Universal Studios, which can only be a good thing." - http://www.screamscape.com/html/silver_dollar_city.htm

Here is the trailer from the Universal Studios Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show:

If you go to the youtube search and type in Wild Wild Wild West Stunt Show Universal Studios, there are a lot more videos that are longer, but most of them, the sound is terrible.

Just a couple of things to note about the new "The Pinkerton Man" show.

It will not open until the fall of 2012, essentially replacing the bird show that was in Echo last fall.  It is my understanding that the regular evening show will no longer be called "GAC Nights", but in all likelihood still be a country music and dance style show.

They are not actually adding another level above the Courthouse building centerstage.  If you'll recall, there has been a gray structure above the red brick section for a number of years.  Until last year, the speakers were located in it and it was wrapped with a scrim that sound would easily pass through.  In the picture above, you see the roof structure with the scrim removed.  It will be redesigned to fit into the set and accommodate the stunt show.  No one is sure whether the set will end up looking exactly like the artist's rendering shown on that BlooLoop site but it should have that flavor.

On the KidsFest page, they are still calling it GAC Nights. I'm not saying you're wrong, but they talk about it near the bottom of the page. >>> http://festivals.bransonsilverdollarcity.com/mini-section/default.aspx?id=21

Tell him that most people leave as soon as the park closes, so there isn't as much traffic after the GAC Nights shows!

Trams! I cant beleive you have never seen the GAC show..! to a newcomer the show is great, good music, good harmony, good comedy, great dancing skits..   and after GAC there is NO crowd to fight.  It is busier walking up the up the hill to the city square, but after you get to the trams/busses..  NO problem..
Go see it!  tell the hubby i think he will enjoy it, with No driving problems!

That's probably right because I can't remember where I heard that.  Maybe I was just dreaming.
