hate to sound stupid, but no, dont remember any details of this show. we only watched it once. i just called my brother & he said it talked about how the land was taken away from the indians & all the blacks were run off. and how the land has changed. they talked about the dam, early days of branson & how its changed. going hunting.

maybe we need to watch it again.. ::) :D
it was published in 2000 - produced by michael murphy & randy mason. they have a # - 1-800-459-9733. narrated by cw gusewelle

sorry i dont know more, i just dont know.. its just a story about the ozarks, the place we enjoy so much.

It's a nice, basic introduction to the Ozarks, narrated by Gusewelle, who I believe is a local news figure in Kansas City. It's a little bit of history, geography and "current events" (circa 2000). I generally begin my Ozarks culture class with it as a way to introduce the subject. The Ozarks Studies Department at Missouri State also has a nice documentary entitled "The Ozarks: Just That Much Hillbilly in Me":
