So we have discussed selling of the BAFs on this site, but guess what is selling on Ebay now!? Thats right! The coupon for One Day Tickets for 29$$ a peice. Seriously yall! These are selling between 5-16$$. How can people be so greedy as to sell the COUPON!!! It makes me sick.

Does anybody else take time just to look up a bunch of SDC stuff on ebay? I do! A few days ago, I ordered myself a set of SDC mugs with the saloon on them!
I have a habit of searching Ebay for SDC & Marvel Cave related stuff. Just like seeing old souvenirs and such.

People selling used BAFs on Craig's List and Ebay. Some people are evil!

I'm just teasing. About once a week I will make a trip to eBay, and see if there is anything that catches my attention from Silver Dollar City, or Branson. I have bought a few patches, and pins, and that's about it. I'm still waiting for that one really unique, or unusual item to come through.

My mugs came in today. I got home from Walmart and my sister says I have something on the table. I opened it to see if anything was broken. I got really excited, then realized I had to save them til Christmas and got really depressed.
I have managed to get a few older SDC items from ebay. Even managed to get a very old pennant
Some time ago on ebay I saw a ticket for Marvel Cave, circa the Lynch Sister era, go on sale. I really wanted that one. I wonder who got it?

Whoever ends up with these coupons is going to be in for quite a surprise. They absolutely do verify that the pass holder is present and accompanies them to the ticket booth to redeem these coupons. They also write the id number from the season pass on the coupon.

And if somebody tries to get in without the passholder they CAN"T!!! AND if SDC wants to, they can verufy where tickets came from with I.D. number.....(now if they would hold them accountable....
I know! I saw the BAF passes and was thinking, "Wow. That's gonna suck for the poor people who buy the tickets and don't know!"

I "almost" would like to see the PTB to initiate a penalty system..
IF somebody tries to use your passes "wrongly", Your pass is revoked. :o :o
OK!! OK!! I know that is extreme, and i know for those of us that use passes prroperly thats is bad... BUT?? that would eliminate the problem. yes? ???
To those who purchased the coupon online........ha and ha and double ha! Dont cheat the city! :P I know its mean.....
I understand times are tough...with my situation we prioritize, and the city is one splurge for us. We budget for this all year, and if there is something we cannot afford...we just don't do it. We have no flat screen tv, no new house, I was forced to get a new car (my first new car ever!). ON one income, we do what we can. I just think of it as unethical, like stealing from someone.
It would be interesting to know if SDC makes more money or less with the new BAF concept. I could see making more with more people having to purchase tickets instead of being able to buy on ebay. But on the other hand there would be less total people showing up at the park because of having to pay full price for a ticket, which would mean a loss in food and merchandise. It would probably be pretty much a wash!
Well, what Silver Dollar City hopes with the Bring-A-Friend program is that you bring someone who might normally have never visited, and then after the visit they are inspired to purchase their own Season Pass, or one day tickets later on.
Some people I've brought with a BAF pass have bought season passes on their way out of the park. I brought one friend who doesn't get a chance to go many places due to her dad's medical needs. I took her to SDC one day just so she could get away and relieve some stress. She was buying everything in site that had the SDC logo on it. As far as I know, I bet SDC makes a lot of money with the BAF concept.
