We took a picture of the coach that was added to Ichabod's train crash site. We talked to "Conductor" Jim, he said they used this car to take measurements for the new car. It was recently added it to the crash site. He also said that in 2-3 years they should have all the cars replaced with new ones.
cool thank you for that post.
thats a lot better picture than i got last week... ??? darn cell phones anyway!
Darn PC/ Internet Explorer....no photos on my end.
A good way to recycle those old passenger cars they are phasing out, huh?
I'm a bit sentimental seeing my cherished railroad car rotting away as a prop. I know, it couldn't be kept in service forever, but still. :P
If they could just donote one of the old cars to my backyard that would be fine. ;D
if it goes to ur backyard you have to hold commemorative parties every year!!!
I love the tribute to history by using the old cars as props. I wish they would pile them all up with an old locomotive and make it smoke and flame!!!! Kind of like the old Buzzsaw falls car in the top of Powder Keg roof. I think its great fun and so much better than trashing them.
i have room in yard, i live in the country....
I also have truck and flatbed..
where do i get on the list?????? LOL
If they do phase them out, I could see at least one returning in a playground, or photo op. setting somewhere in the park. SDC loves to have nods to the past (well except for the green trams!)

Couldn't agree with your more!
There use to be be a train play area next to the Old Time Photo/Bookstore, accross from the Saloon @ the entrance to Tom Sawyers Landing. Anyone else remember that? Rube, how about a photo? I'm sure I have one somewhere, just have to do some digging.
DONT FORGET THE TRAMS!!!! :o :o :o
I've got a few of the train car, lemme pull them up.
