We are planning a 3 day weekend trip to Branson in October. Being that finances are very tight we are trying to find inexpensive lodging that is decent. We normally stay at Tribesman Resort which we like very much. But we were wondering if anyone had any other recommendations. We don't require anything fancy or big (2 adults, 1 child) But I do want CLEAN!! I saw online that Trails End Resort rents a RV unit for a little over $30.00, but I don't know anything about the property -Anyone have any experience there? Or anywhere else you could recommend? Thanks
i have read alot of post on here about eagles lodge homestead, never had stayed there but from what i understand when you talk too Diane and mention you are a member of sdcfans.com i think you can get a room for 40$ not sure but there is a thread under general discussion.
Eagle's Lodge is the way to go!
Paige and the whole staff are wonderful. It has been a discounted rate at $40.00/night (normally $64.95) but be sure to call for details.(417) 336-2666

im trully sorry i said diane but meant to say paige
Yes, thats right. eagles lodge, NOW called Homestay Inn..
We have been staying there almost 2 years now, Paige worked out a deal with us(SDCFans) for 40.00 per room + tax.
Each room has a fridge, micro and coffee pot,
2 queen beds or 1 king bed- same money
No added fee for extra people
continental breakfast
there have been several of the SDCfans stay there this year. I think you will be pleased.
If you are planning on seeing any shows other than SDC, Paige can get you tickets at a dicounted rate and have them delivered to the motel. No extra charge.
Give her a call.
+1 on the Homestay (eagles lodge). After staying at another motel on the strip for years and years, we gave Paige a try and found a new home. Great rate, great room, great service....it just don't get much better. Give them a try....like us, you'll be glad you did.
+2 on Eagles Lodge
+3 on Eagles Lodge (+4 from my Mother. +5 from my 8-year-old son who wants to work for Paige someday)
ok parson, thats pretty funny!
Funny but true. See reply 132 on 2011 Trip Reviews!
parson, I dont need to look it up. I rememebr you talking about staying there and your boy adopting Paige!! too funny! she is great!
Eagles Lodge/Homestay Inn is a great place to stay. We stayed there in June and are going to be there again in Sept. DO NOY STAY at the RV out on Indian Point....they are awful....we made the mistake of staying there once last year.
We always stay at Shady Acre Motel in Branson West, its only a 1/2 mile from SDC. Its tucked back in the woods with lots of trees, nice quiet place. Our recent trip we only paid $47.00 total for one night, 2 queens, with a smoking room for 4 people. They do have furnished kitchenettes too. We like it.
I have stayed in lots of hotels around. By far, Eagle's lodge was my favorite. Microwave, mini fridge, very clean. and No, Paige did not pay me to say this :D
And she didn't complain too much when the car alarm went off at 1:30 in the morning :P
Okie, I miss your car alarm! Hope you come back soon? :P Of course Parson whenever your son is ready, we can give him some training, remember "Guest Relations" so when you come next? Shady Acres is a nice place too and the owner is very nice. I got a chance to work with them when I managed a hotel down the road a few years back.
It may be useful to look into using Priceline or Hotwire. Of course, you may want to firm up plans ahead of time, as both of those places you would only get the best deals closer to the time of the reservation, but I would imagine there will be plenty of hotels that will be wanting visitors in October.
saladdays, You can check priceline and Hotwire. but I doubt if your checking online you will find a better deal than we all get at eagles lodge/Homestay Inn.
For 40.00 including all the extras, you will be hardpressed to beat Paiges deal for us. :)
Thanks everyone for the imput - I think we are going to try Eagle's Lodge - Homestay. I'm sure we'll enjoy it.
You will!
Great Choice!

You are probably right. But I did get the Radisson last weekend for $48 through Priceline. ;D
