Title: Wagon instead of Stroller
Post by: jarful on July 27, 2011, 09:58:18 PM
We'll be traveling next week with a 5 and 2-1/2 year old.  We would normally travel with a stroller, but I'm wondering if we would be better to bring our wagon.  Do they even allow wagons in the park?

Thanks!

YEP!  wagons are acceptable...

But they frown on the little ponies to pull it with ;D ;D.

The only consideration is that a stroller might be a bit more manageable in a busy crowd than a wagon would be, however as long as the wagon is kept under control, it probably wouldn't be an issue.

Just hold on tight if you travel up, or down Hugo's Hill Street, also known as "cardiac hill." ;)

We have switched from a stroller to a wagon.  I was so sick of unbuckling kids and them putting them back in again.  This allows them to get out on their own.  I also find it easier to pull it up hill instead of pushing a stroller up the hill.

Another thing that you have to worry about is getting the wagon to the park. Would be a little big to try to get on the tram, and quite a ways to walk from were they are having you park now,but if you don't mind paying a little bit to park up close you could always do the paid parking and pull it in and walk up. Also I don't know if they would let you drive up to the front and drop off the wife , kids and wagon and then go park the car. Maybe one of our insiders can answer that. Guys?????

bobber, good point,

Yes you can pull up and let off passengers..

They have an area up there just east of the trams.  I think your allowed 15 minutes to load/unload..  But as long as you were there doing one or the other nothing would be said about time facot

if you are good enough, you can whip around the "Y" and make it to the Wildfire line a lot faster.

I see several of them each time we go but it never occurred to me how they got in the park with them. I didn't know there was a drop off area for individuals I assumed that was for the shuttles from the campgrounds, hotels, etc. but I guess it makes sense.
