Hey everyone, its about time for SDC to starting putting up Christmas lights for OTC. So keep your eyes out when you go to the city and look for christmas lights. Now you will probly have top look hard to find them. The probly wont put any obvious lights up for a couple of months. Best places to look: GE, FITH(inside), Train cars,McH Homestead, ect...
YES!!!!!!! ;D
As made obvious by my profile pic, Old Time Christmas is my favorite festival!
Wait. Seriously? They start THIS early? I know I'd seen some up in August last year, but didn't think they started any earlier than that.
LOL... OK? start looking for lights... seems like they just got the hanging plants all out!! :o :o
I'm surprised they don't leave them up all year long! ;)
Although, I have always wondered how they keep the structures intact when they keep nailing lights into the wooden beams, and then ripping them out each year.
Lots of wood putty. ;)

If they left them up all year, there would be nothing left of them. Even for the few months that they are up, it's a nightmare for maintenance crews to keep them lit. For some reason, some visitors to the park actually think it's cool to pull the little bulbs from the strings.
So they just start out fresh each year. And they very rarely re-use old strings because it's cheaper just to get a new one out of the box than spend the hours trying to get an old one back in working order.
