I made one trip to WOF around 1990. It was fun, but I'm partial to SDC. Have not been to Six Flags St. Louis for many years, either, probably since 1997. Again, Six Flags has always been fun, but I'm a SDC guy!

I have never been to WOF, I have lived in StL my whole life, and didn't even make it to Six Flags StL until I was 12, BUT we always made it to SDC atleast twice a year every year since 1980!

We went to WOF a couple of years ago and was saddened to see how they have started ignoring the original "World" theme of the park. A 50's sock hop diner in Africa? Come on.

The only other time I've been there was around 1987 or so on a band trip in high school. It was raining that day and the Orient Express got stuck on one of the upside down loops. We were like that for probably 15-20 minutes. Talk about a headache when we finally came down. I also remember riding the EXP which was one of the first stand up coasters if I'm not mistaken. It also got stuck, but not for very long or upside down.

That was a great video!  Anyone have pictures of the boats during the removal process? Where they taken out in large sections or scrapped in place?  Did they (debris) go to the landfill or were they sold?  Is the front gate still closed? What happened to plans for new front gate? Anyone with insider info? Is there a lack of theming there?
