That's pretty sad.  I'm in Wichita and we last went in 2004.  But we did get the Wild West World park in 2007.  However it went bankrupt that same year before we even had a chance to try it out!

Jeez, leave it to the Daily Mail to flaunt those photos as some sort of evidence of America's downfall.

It's still a shame the community was unable to rally around the park and give it new life as something else, even if they couldn't get most of the rides operating. In my home town of Bartlesville, OK we have a tiny amusement park geared at young kids that is a huge asset to our community during the summer. I wish more communities would stop being so short sighted and create more fun, safe places like that.
