Does anybody remember "Tinker" the Christmas tree show from a few years ago. I know we are a ways away from OTC, but I was thinking about him the other day. I miss Tinker. The Frosty show they have now, is alright, but Tinker was better IMHO. For one thing Tinker was original to SDC, whereas Frosty is plastered all over our TV's at Christmas time. Grandma wrote to SDC and was told that the tree itself had to be retired because it was falling apart. But during our last visit, a cast member told me that they had more than one Tinker. So I would like to start my official unofficial SDCFans Forum petition to bring back Tinker. I know that the PTB peruse this forum, so if any of you agree with me.....then TESTIFY below.
Tinker died a slow painful death which he had coming to him for a long time. Thank goodness.
I think Tinker could be worked into Half Dollar Holler; he would fit the theme critters and all. They could even have build your own Tinkers.
Tinker.? yes I remember tinker, agreed he should be replanted, watered and when he gets all growed up, come back to OTC.
Of course I would want him to have new skits/ ;)
I remember Tinker when her first appeared in The Carousel Barn. It wasn't so much a show as it was an interactive experience for children. When he asked what my name was, I said "Erik," however, he kept calling me "Aaron". I remember that to this day! That was probally 10-12 years ago.
tinker was at the boathouse when i watched him. Even as an adult i enjoyed the show

Copper, my kids would love that!
I heard they mulched him...
^LIKE! (we need a like button on here) ;D
Wow....Tinker's got some haters. :o
Just curious....what do the Tinker-haters think about the Frosty show?
I was mistaken I am sorry, with the hard times for HFEC these past few years, Tinker, the 17 ft. tall fir tree was used for about 125 board feet of lumber to contribute to the Riverblast area theming. You will be missed, but you will long live on.

ROFL-----That's funny.......bad.....but funny!!!!
I am firmly in the bring Tinker back camp.
I love that it was orignal and my kid loved that tree.
WE WANT TINKER!
I never saw Tinker...he sounds sorta neat...Who knows, maybe the PTB will "tinker" with the idea of bringing him back :)
I did in fact catch a few minutes of Tinker while I was passing by a few times over the years, and it was humorous. I don't remember any of the specific jokes for the kids, but I do remember from a few years back Tinker going very off script when a kid started going on a tangent about PB&J, Tinker started talking about the peanut butter recall! Very quick witted that tree!
I liked Tinker because....
1. He was original to Silver Dollar City. You couldn't see Tinker anywhere else.
2. He actually interacted with the kids on-stage. As opposed to Frosty interacting with one child, while all the other children watched from on-stage.
3. He was great at improvising. One time when he asked the kids what they wanted for Christmas, I told my kid to shout out "chain-saw". Tinker's reaction was hilarious.
4. My kids like Tinker.
Tinker was a "keeper", dont know why they let him go! its a shame.
I was not a fan of tinker but my children LOVED TINKER.. They did not like the frosty show during OTC this past year so I say bring back Tinker as well.
sorry all you tinker-haters..... LOL..
I thought he was very funny and great with the kids..
OK. All together now.....
Tinker! - Tinker! - Tinker! - Tinker!
