Title: What computers/cash registers should look like at SDC
Post by: KBCraig on April 27, 2011, 01:21:04 AM
Extreme steampunking. I especially love the webcam and the USB thumb drive, and the speakers.

This is how any electronics should be themed in SDC. It's what Doc Harris would do, with Miss Mary's permission.

Good use/waste of what appears to be an old pump organ. Reminds me of "Wild wild west" or "Brisco County Junior", or "Firefly".

I took a look at the link and looked at the details of this "machine". It is so elaborate! The keyboard is created using old typewriter keys, the webcam uses an old bollows camera, even the flash drive fits the look of the computer. The whole room is themed out this way...more money than brains...I don't know, but Lots of money none-the-less!

Don't get me wrong, this looks awesome, I just kept thinking about how expensive it would be to theme a whole room like this.  I know I'm an old cheapskate.

As a history teacher, I would love to spend some time and theme the items in my room, however they are all school property and leased, I don't think that they would like it too much if I did that...
