How much does it cost? (What were the 2010 prices)?
Is it worth it for a family of 7? (2 Adults, 5 kids ages 14, 11, 7, 4, 2)
Thanks for your input.
Good Question!! I was gonna ask too.
2010 It was $8.99 adults and $4.99 Kids. 4 and under are free though.
AND IF you have season pass ( I think) you get 20% disount on breakfast; -
""""""Unlimited visits to Silver Dollar City. Save $5 off the regular one-day adult or child admission price for up to 6 guests visiting with you on all operating days, except April 2, 2011. Save 10% on meals over $4.00 for you and up to 6 guests with you (not valid on concessions). Save 20% on breakfast at Molly's Mill 8:30am - 11:00am through October 29, 2011 for you and up to 6 guests with you. Only one discount or offer applies to food purchases. Valid 2011 operating season only.""""""""
It is a little steep, but all part of the experience and the food is above agerave. Nothing like walking out of the mill with a full belly just in time for the opening ceremonies. And yes, you can use your season pass for the discount. We usually eat a giant breakfast there, then just snack the rest of the day.
that didnt seem so high to me. adults 7.20 but kid only 4.00!! they aint bad for a full cooked country buffet!! I dont however remember if drinks are included.??
My family of 6 (3 adults, 2 children, and one free child under 4) ate there on Thanksgiving Day this last Thanksgiving. The food was great and I felt the price was reasonable (less than 40 bucks by the time we got the discount). It was actually cheaper than Golden Corral where we were going to eat Thanksgiving Day. We enjoyed the whole experience and it added to our memories of our visit to SDC for the Old Time Christmas Festival. The atmosphere was neat and it was cool looking out the window and watching the festivities in the square. I highly recommend it.
Be sure to ask for a "special table" when you eat at the Mill!!
specail table.. ok haytater, whazzup?
Just do it - you'll see. I'll keep it a surprise.
'Rider, we can't tell you everything. Just know this: don't tell the others in your party that you are asking for a special table; do it secretly and then enjoy your meal.
ok fine! I will do that, we actually have never had breakfast at SDC before, but that is one of my resolutions for 2011, to go in early 2 or 3 times for breakfast...
and only have to wait about 45 days to try it!
On another note.. Did you know that if you have SDC season passes you get a discount at the grand country buffet for lunches.. You buy 1 meal, you get 2nd for 1/2 price.. Just "food" for thought!! LOL......
special table........................ :D
We wanted to surprise a couple of friends last year who knew nothing about the special table. We were told it only works once in a while and they are having trouble finding replacement parts. But good luck maybe you will catch it on a cooperative day.
OK!! go ahead! keep it going! ::)
There are 2 tables in the Mill. Each of them does something different. They also have one in the Mine. They are were fixed last year and are now working.
It really doesn't do anything 'Rider. We're just messin' with ya.
Or are we?
WHATEVER!! I remeber reading/hearing something about a table that raises/lifts? I will find out. I am planning on being there march 24-25 maybe 26th.. that is nmy b-day so i will hit the city and the showboat for sure.
so i will find out about the special table then.
Really thinking about making the drive for opening day on the 17th? have to wait and decide
I tried to get the "special" table, last time we were there. But unfortunately someone was already sitting there. We will try again this year.
Ah, yes! The special table. One in the Mill, one in the Mine. Always fun! As a former employee of both restaurants, I can tell you it was always a good time with those special tables. Anyone who does not have that experience should ask...quietly...an employee to seat you there especially if you have a family with kids. Everyone will enjoy it. But don't tell the kids what's going on, just EXPERIENCE it all. It will be a fond memory for years to come. :D
yea! yea! yea!. you guys keep it up!
My family has never eaten at the "special tables" in the Mine or the Mill, however, we know about them. We have though eaten at one of the "special tables" in Mcfarlands (IMAX). We had known about the "special tables" in the Mine and the Mill for years, but did now know about the ones in Mcfarlands; so it came to quite a surprise when we had dinner at one. It was a lot of fun, and we still talk about that visit, years later.
The one that shoots fireworks is really cool, but it breaks down a lot.
lol! funny!
We were able to experience a special table in the Mill back in 2009. The family really got a good laugh out of it. Is there really a second that does something different than the other? (If there is, don't say what though - I'd want to keep that a surprise!).
2 years ago we got a special table, & as far as i know of, they both do differant things.... :-X
there are two special tables that do thing different. I have gotten to eat at both with family and it is great to watch them figure out what is going on.
Yes there are 2 in the mill....
so now? I also have to go to mcfarland's? OK< will do!
We got a special table one year without knowing they existed. It was hilarious. We really had no clue what was going on for the longest time. We did eventually figure it out, though... ;D
Lets see???? 28 days and counting!
