Title: Thoughts from the Parks
Post by: krash9924 on November 15, 2010, 09:44:21 AM
Just wanted to post a few thoughts and observations from the parks this past weekend.

We have visited the parks on the weekend after Veterans Day for about 4-5 years now.  This year the park and Branson in general were quiete. Not sure if the cold snap helped or what the deal was.

Our biggest complaint about the park (and it seemed to be a lot of peoples) was the Saloon,Fire in the Hole and Opera House area. Horrible would be a good thing compared to the congestion and headaches in this area!  Why on earth did someone decide to put three (!!!) food kiosks in this area??? And one of those is directly in a walking path (next to the saloon), who thought that one up?

Other than this area the park was quiet.  Nothing new to see in the HDH or old Waterboggan areas. The park up keep is amazing as always except for the old waterfall area, they seem to be just letting that area go. Maybe future plans in this area?

We loved some of the new to us food offerings in the park. Favorites were the cupcakes and whoopies in the bakery and the giant pretzels just outside the bakery.

Can't wait till next season.

I call it smart thinking! Sure, congestion is heavy there, but that simply means more foot traffic, and more foot traffic equals more wallets, and more wallets equals more money spent at all of the food venues in that one spot.

There's another topic floating around here specifically for Trip Reviews. Your thoughts, and experiences on your recent trips would be very appreciated there also.  :)

Restaurants are destinations, but the kiosks are intended to capture traffic. The shows bring traffic, the kiosks profit from it, and those waiting for the shows have something to do. Win-win-win.
