The Grand Palace Goes On Sale For $10 Million

February 9th, 2011

The Grand Palace, one of Branson's largest (if not the largest), theatre venues, is back on the real estate market for $10 million. Originally built by HFEC in 1993, the 4,000 seat theatre has been host to some of America's biggest acts including Jeff Foxworthy, Ray Charles and Reba McEntire as well as big name events such as the Miss USA pagent.

Located in a prime position just off of Branson's main strip, the Palace was once a huge draw for the area, but in recent years it has sat empty, and is now in poor condition due to weather damage and vandalism. Currently the property is leased by Paul Dunn, who attempted to work on the building in the summer of 2010 and brought in the famed rapper Nelly to perform in the parking lot outside the venue. The property owners say Dunn's lease is up in 2012.

Refurbishing the Grand Palace will cost several million dollars at the least, with limited pay-off due to the theatre's rather niche size.
