Magic Mountain
« on: October 23, 2007, 11:15:51 PM »
I always hate discussions like the one I'm about to start.  Please understand that I am concerned and pray for the million people displaced by fire.  I understand that homes are being burned and that is, of course, more important than a theme park catching on fire.  With that said: I saw online that the California wildfires were within sight of Magic Mountain.  Is the park still standing?  Using yahoo, there are pictures of fire approaching Magic Mountain in 2002 also.  That is so wild.  Humanity is so close to danger in California.  I guess we had the ice storm, but those storms are so rare.

Yeah, Coasterdom had links to some shots of X with huge flames in the background. I imagine the park will be alright though.

Meh, California has it's fires and earthquakes, we have our tornadoes, blizzards, and occasional microbursts - they're not that much closer to danger.
