Splash Island To Be Overhauled

Hmmm, this seems to be the first major step in getting WA up to speed with the rest of the chain. Hopefully some sort of revamp for WA itself is next.
Sigh... WA is getting all the love this year; they must have big expectations for them.

There is some major capital being spent here.  Wahee Cyclone is old news, of course.  The name was originally Bombora, but there were legal issues with that name so they changed it to Wahee Cyclone.  Hopefully they do a good job with Splash Island's revamp.  I wonder if HFE will have WA open year-round after next year?  It was a year-round park before they bought it.

Is there really enough demand for it to be a "year-round-park" ???
It is in BFE Georgia afterall.

^The previous owners must've had a reason to keep it open year-round.  That being said, I don't see HFE keeping it open if most of the winter no one visits, especially since it really cuts costs to close it down for two and a half months or so.

Well you have to do seasonal maintenance sometime.
Being closed for 2 months is not going to hurt the bottom line at all -- shoot if SDC wanted to it could be open year round as well.
