Oyo

For giggles I was searching hotels in Branson on Travelocity and noticed there are several that are now Oyo hotels, such as the Windmill for example.  I have been noticing in other parts of the country they seem to be converting a lot of lower end hotels to these.

For those that don’t know, OYO means “On Your Own”

Seems to be an indian hotel startup that has been gobbling up hotels and other properties around the world. The wikipedia page is kind of interesting

Weren’t the ones listed in Branson the same ones that were long term stay hotels that the city closed down?

Did a drive around Branson today and there’s a branded OYO on SOTH Expressway near the zoo.  It might have been the Classic before?

Well we’ll never stay at one. Most times we will just drive down and back in the same day.  During Christmas we have to stay at the Lodge, because that’s where Dad likes to stay

Linda and Real from the Classic are Canadian, so foreigners are not a problem.
I do not appreciate the way the new owners treated KD when they took over.
I will avoid this company like the Covid-19
