Marine Dictionary:
Boat:
Noun. A hole in the water into which the owner pours money. The best two days of boat ownership are the day the owner buys it and the day the owner sells it.
I say these things as a guy who grew around boats and *really* wished he had time for them now. Were I closer to the lake, I'd have one (not counting the ancient 12' V-bottom rowboat currently sitting next to my shop: anybody want to acquire a 1957 7.5 hp Evinrude?). I very much enjoy boating, but I just cannot indulge myself.
That said, it wouldn't take me away from the City.
And I would rather pay to go to SDC than be paid to go to Six Flags.
