« on: February 18, 2019, 07:48:36 AM »
This winter has sucked, snow, ice, cold and school closings?
SDC is closed,
Did I mention winter has sucked so far this year..
Most of the Shows in Branson are closed for the season,
Oh yes, Snow, cold, Ice, school closings.. :(
Super Bowl wasnt even a good game this year..
And so far since the first of the year, winter has been terrible.....  LOL

I have been to Branson twice,
Made a quick trip out to Denver, But no Bike riding, it was cold of course..
i have a backup wood furnace, and have used more wood this year than i Have for the last 3 years.!!
I tried to watch the playoffs, but the Ref's were doing suck a poor job, I hate to start drinking to watch :o
The bad thing is, we have another 30 days to Opening at the Park.... ::)

What have you been doing?

We got a season pass. It is a gorgeous aquarium. I’d guess we have been once a month at least.

I’ve been job hunting. That’s what I’ve spent the winter doing. Lol

This has been about the longest winter ever. Husband and I jyst discussed this. It's been cold. Not really snow, so was the cold worth our time? Its been a miserable wet cold. Muddy. A winter suck fest.

Either too cold or wet to do anything here in northeast Arkansas. About to go stir crazy. Still trying to convince my wife to let me buy a new shotgun for turkey season.  ;D 8)

I've had absolutely nothing to do besides surf the internet. Thankfully, con season is starting up, so I'm gonna be in Birmingham, AL, this coming weekend for Kami-Con. I am so happy I've been able to help my friend run his manga library, 'cause I've gotten to go places I've never been. I went to Wisconsin for the first time last year, as well as Dollywood/TN/North & South Carolina.

We've had a cold/snowy Winter up here in WI. Had some -30's nights.  We've gotten soft the last few years. Doesn't stop us from doing whatever we want.I went snowshoeing when it was -22 a week ago. Riding horses bareback is fun in the snow as long as you can find a trail.  The deer are having a hard time with snow deeper than their bellies. Can't wait until we will be able to get to SDC this Summer.

Guess I am a little different than the rest. Hiking in the winter is a lot of fun. Been exploring some new trails here in Southeast Mo and Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois.  Doing a lot of winter running getting ready for a marathon in the spring. I can usually stand it down to about 0 degrees if i do 3 layers of clothing.
Playing in the snow on my Polaris. But, The snow just is not hanging around long enough where I live. Hoping to make a late season ski trip to Aspen in April.

We are now at 10 Snow Days for SC.... and I highly doubt we’re done with Snow Days.

This is why I'm grateful I'm leaving tomorrow for Florida.  I love snow, but all we've had is ice and a rare dusting.  We'll leave a short few hours before the next wave of sleet and ice rolls in and land in 87 degree summer weather.  Not sure which is worse, but at least it's a change.

Certainly not complaining about visiting the Mouse and Potter either.  :-)
This is a stick up!  Get it? Stick.... Nevermind, it's a train robbery.  I want everyone to get your hands up and act scared.

I'll admit I miss the snow we had in Illinois.  My old hometown had 13" a few weeks ago. We had ice, also, but not as much as there is around here.  Not much to do in ice, but snow...yeah!

We woke up to -16 actual temperature! But, the snow is not blowing. I saw that today is now our 28th day in a row where temperatures have not reached 32°, so we’re definitely ready for spring also.
