Nothing like the smell of fresh slurry...
Many don't realize that what they see on the ground actually isn't asphalt.  It's slurry covering and sealing the paving underneath, and helps to give it that distinct aroma, especially early in the year.  Slurry can also be colored.  I wonder if they replaced those sections of paving after the slurry was done.  It's definitely on the odd side.
This is a stick up!  Get it? Stick.... Nevermind, it's a train robbery.  I want everyone to get your hands up and act scared.

Plus concrete reflects the sun light keeping it for melting and getting gooey in the summer heat.

Smell is a powerful memory trigger.  My friends and I were talking about "the smell" one day and they all agree that it really brings us back to being a kid.  SDC should always use slurry on the entrance area.  It welcomes me back when I smell it.

I was at Six Flags St. Louis last weekend and they had "that smell." I tried so hard to explain it to my husband and he just kept saying, "Ok, sure..."

This is funny to me....that smell takes me back to my short career working on a road crew in the middle of no where KS....laying down asphalt....which is what we called it.

I didn't like that summer.  :-\
