The Duggers

There is a show on TLC called 17 and counting. It's about this huge family of 17, the Duggers. On their newest show this week (Monday), they all went to Silver Dollar City!

What did they do there? Did they show off much about SDC?

They had quite a bit of footage of them at the park, more than I expected. They talked about how they appreciated the Christian values of SDC and how they feel like they fit right in. There was some nail-making and they showed them walking into the park in front of the SDC sign. Mostly just footage of them walking around. I was kind of upset that they didn't show them on any of the rides.

I wish they had shown more of the rides and craftsmen, but it sounds like it was a nice promotion for SDC.

The actual name of the series is "17 Kids and Counting". The episode is called "When Big Families Collide", with an original air date of October 13. I've set my DirecTiVo to catch an upcoming rebroadcast.

Early this year, we actually saw some of them at the park.  I think it was the mom and a few of the kids.  I have no clue if they were all there or not, but I don't think it was part of this show, unless they were taking a break, as no cameras were around.

I worked 5 days a week... and never heard of any visit by the duggers.. Hmmmm
you'd think as an employee we'd hear when people are coming.  lol  guess not..

i'm going to invite the "little people"  - The Roloffs!  that'd be fun.. but i don't think dad would make it through the cave...
