This is a stick up!  Get it? Stick.... Nevermind, it's a train robbery.  I want everyone to get your hands up and act scared.

Update from today

http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/2018/03/city-changes-sdc_7.html?m=1

Since you mention the media day on Tuesday, are you going?

Unfortunately no.  This is extreme busy time for me at my “real job” and my Band is actually competing in the City-wide music festival that day in CoMo.

Just received an invitation to Time Traveler's grand opening and media day on Tuesday, March 13th.  Super excited to be able to be there. I will be doing a live feed from there so you can join in the opening and see all of the fun, as well as putting together a video later talking more about the ride.  Livestream from the event will probably be around 11am local time (noon Eastern, 9am Pacific).  I don't know that I'll be able to do any questions/ answers this time around, but we'll see how it works out.  Very excited to be a part of it.

I just saw that.  That tells me it is likely to be a zoo Wednesday.  I kinda of hoped It would be somewhat slower that day since it is in the middle of the week. I already have reservations and will be there Wednesday thru Friday.

We contemplated getting up there before we leave out on Friday but nope. We'll get after it on a weekend between Spring break and the last weekend in April. It's not like I'm going to going without coasters in the meantime. I'll get to compare Busch Garden's Cobra Curse Mack spinner and this one within weeks of each other.

Hoping it isn’t a total zoo. Just got in from work and my wife surprised me with the news and two tickets for the opening day event! 👍

Excuse my ignorance, but is your # listed at the end of the ticket? If so, we are #28 & 29.

When I signed up and checked the availability (if I wanted to add more tickets on checkout) the count said 496 tickets remaining afterward.

Hmm, they should have made it more obvious that the money is going to something that seems decent. The optics on this look like a money grab. Not sure what the "dream big, do good" campaign is either, might just be PR.

What I gathered from the announcement vid on YouTube, all proceeds from this event go toward their "Dream Big, Do Good" campaign. So, to me, this sounds like a charity event and not a "money grab."
