Here is the video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5hj1TPLfvc

Notice the lack of spin with the cars versus the animations we previously saw, granted its partially because there is no weight variance to cause the spinning but that is also part of the magnetic braking system that will control it, I do still see quite a few people being apprehensive about this. I believe it was discussed before on here but I think to help with this issue, the park should market and word it more along the lines of pivoting or turning versus using the term spinning. Again these are NOT gonna be your teacup type spinning cars.  :)

And note too that those launches are looking quite a bit more intense than what the animations showed as well.  :D

think of it as staying in place or facing the same way as the track beneath you moves.

Carr deleted all his recent SDC stuff... hope we didn't get him into trouble

I hope he did.  He should have to operate by the same rules as the other employees.  If it had been one one of them posting photos they would have been fired.

I just realized that opening weekend is St. Patrick's Day weekend... oh well, Time Traveler is probably going to be more fun anyway. Maybe there will be something at the Outback bar to go to afterwards.

Nope.  Steve still hasn’t added a “HEY YOU GOT A PM” alarm feature so I never notice or even bother looking for PM.  Email me.  I gave you my address in a PM. Don’t respond in a PM - I literally will not see it

Oh yeah, I knew I was forgetting something, lol. The forum is supposed to send you an email when you get one, but I'm not sure it always works.

Ah, so there's a new skillet AND a new restaurant. That makes more sense. Did they take out the place on the far side as well?

Hmmm... it seems like it might flow better, but it's not as big of an opening as I was originally thinking. Still kind of a pinch point between the new skillet and the back of the ride exit stuff. Not that they need to blow the place wide open or anything, but it just seems like a lot of effort to just rearrange things.

I'm sure it makes more sense in person. Hard to get a sense of scale through photos.

Hatfield’s is still there.  I think the line for the restaurant next to Cowboy Jepp’s will be on the patio side and not road side.  Also there’s more room then it looks there.

If they take out a few of the tables and chairs for eating in that area.. there would be a lot of extra room. and be able to overlook TT.   I expect to see that area directly involved with the redo...

Now I am not sure how to feel about this. That was one of my favorite quiet areas of the park. I guess I will see when I go on opening day next month.

Valley Road hugs the ridge of Echo Hollow now.
