Any one else hearing rumors about Annie's and Buck Shot also being gone as of yesterday?  I have no way of confirming it but I read it on another forum.  I'm sure Carr will mess up and post photos of those gone too.

My understanding from various whispers around Branson and an assortment of pages and sites is that a bunch of stuff up and down that pathway has been leveled or is about to be. Basically starting at the area in front of the restrooms down to the Echo Hollow entrance.

I don't know if that is true or not, but I believe that at least everything around the new TT building has been torn down and opened up.

Someone mentioned something about potentially a new restaurant in the mix? Not sure if they can do that before March, but it could be planned for a Summer opening... My assumption is that there has to be some kind of new food setup to replace what has been taken out.

Seems pretty crazy that this is happening so fast with no warning, but I really think it had to do with the Christmas crowds. I wonder if they got a warning from the fire Marshall or something...

I'm sure it will be nice though. These were smaller buildings, and the new buildings they've been putting up lately follow similar architecture, so it's not like they are demolishing the square or the homestead area. This is an easier side of the park to open up so ride-focused people can get to the kids' areas.

Your honor, the defense would like to submit the following evidence as proof that there was INDEED warning.

This has been planned from the start.

^ Yeah, people have been saying for quite a while once it became clear where the entrance was that the whole area had to be opened up.  It was already kind of a messy bottleneck before TT, and would be even more so when it opens.

hate losing all of the eateries and benches there.  Hopefully they can come up with something later. But it's no surprise.
This is a stick up!  Get it? Stick.... Nevermind, it's a train robbery.  I want everyone to get your hands up and act scared.

I mean, we knew the immediate area was going to get cleared out. It's the apparent extent of clearing that surprises me. I didn't really expect Poke Salad Mary's to go, and if they are clearing as far as has been rumored, that's a ton of new space.

If anybody is looking for a job with mechanical/electrical experience, SDC is looking to hire people for Time Traveler. https://hfecorp-openhire.silkroad.com/epostings/index.cfm?fuseaction=app.jobinfo&jobid=8878&company_id=16687&version=6&source=ONLINE&jobOwner=992276&aid=1

I find it interesting that the ad specifies Time Traveler,

I would have thought they would have hire on a more general basis,
trained hirees and current employees as needed,
and then transferred employees as the PTB see fit.

Are the other MAint people trained per ride? or maintain all rides?  I assumed they did all of them. Is TT going to be that special they need 1 or 2 people to maintain it?

Tinman? any insight on this.?

Hubs drove by the City yesterday and asked me what was going on - piles and piles of lumber and some visible cranes.

Lumber?  like 2x4's and 2x8's? for buildings and such?

Or BIG Lumber? Planks? Posts?   For "heavy duty" projects. Landscaping? Bridges?  ..

Yeah, I keep hearing about lots and lots of work going on in the area around Time Traveler...

Not much specifics yet except a lot has been cleared out, but it sure seems like they'll try to build a new restaurant somehow. Maybe some new food stands as well? I'd love to see a new store (not a gift shop) as well, but they seem hell-bent on running all of them out of the city.

Correction: He was on 76 near Notch headed east and said it was near the northwest edge near the highway, and it was probably 2.4's and 2x6's.  He didn't pay real close attention (what?? Hubs, it SDC dude, pay attention!!!)

Well, there's a lumber yard over there. I'm guessing this is what he saw:

https://www.google.com/maps/@36.6823202,-93.3402116,3a,33.6y,277.46h,89.84t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sXllOgJUdkcNV2kXRmmarsg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

To be fair though, SDC might buy from that yard since it's so close.  :P

Nope, not that pile of wood!  ;D  Drove by today, and he pointed out the piles of lumber he was talking about.  They're behind one of the theaters (I think).  Much smaller piles today than a few days ago per the hubs.
