Pop up parties
« on: March 16, 2016, 04:19:40 PM »
I just came across this on SDC's Facebook page yesterday. They have taken place on different rides throughout the city. The people selected have gotten free refill mugs, tickets to a lantern tour, white water tickets and such. I think its a nice new twist on spring ride days. The pop up parties continue through the end of March. I am headed down to the city on Friday and maybe a ride I'm on at the time will get selected. This definitely is a way to create memories worth repeating. I hope it works out for the park and could at least be an annual thing they do. The reason SDC gives for them is to celebrate the American family. What do you guys think or is this the first you have heard of this?

Some of the prizes are pretty good. On Saturday a group got free tickets to White Water.

Sure reminds me of what SeaWorld did last year with their "Seas of Surprises" for their 50th.
Disney has done it in the past as well

We were over by the flagpole, and none of the shirts came our way.   :'(
