Yes, they are starting to pop up, but it might not be a good idea. It might ruin the family-friendly, good, clean fun theme....

Why not give the people what they want ? A good beer never hurt anyone. Branson is going to have to get away from the Old image if it is to survive, but this thread is about CC.

They are not starting to pop up. My Grandfather would stop at a tavern going to, and leaving the lake in the 60's and 70's.  Those of us 20 plus years older than these 20 year old kids remember when Branson was nothing more than a tourist trap with near by fishing and boating, NO religion involved in promoting the area. That atmosphere developed mid 80's... Just saying.
RIP Chippewa Lake Park

I was going to say the same thing, Tinman.  There were bars here 35 years ago.  Bars and restaurants serving alcohol at the Landing have been here, how long?  10 years??

CC always hit me as a upscale carnival. After my first visit I probably would have never went back if it wasn"t for Ozcat. I still think it would be a great place for a mixed use development with nightclubs, micro brewery's and a bowling complex anchored by a aquarium. Then use the terrain to have a small ski slope in the winter and ice skating rink.

I've heard these ideas before 8)

Of course,  my rants included rides that were per ride or wristband and a new movie complex with stadium seating and some screens with meal service. I wouldn't do a ski slope but a tubing attraction.

The Snowflex facility I often sight just added long tubing runs.

I'm going to have to make a dedicated thread for "Branson's Problem's" or something so we don't have to have this same discussion several times a year.

I still don't understand why they did not make this park something like what Landry's did at Keemah

I thinks its since we think that there is nothing more to talk about in this subject, is why we wander off to something that somebody else brings up. I keep thinking that someone will transfer this convo to another thread without me mentioning it, but I guess not. So please, if you want us to stay on topic, just please move our convo to another thread. We sometimes go to a fork in the road and try to go both ways, so it needs to be settled in a different thread, while we stay on topic in the other. Sorry I didnt bring this up earlier.

Since lots of people, like on the Showboat, always said Branson is suppost to be a clean, family-friendly town, I thought there was no alcohol, or that it was banned, even though I did see the Boat Bar in Branson Landing and overlooked it as well as beer in Walmart. So, now we are getting bars. They also said we dont have gambling, are casinos next?

really Laroy?
So just because someone consumes alcohol that automatically means they are going to get drunk and be stupid.  Wow.

Or a bad person, such a judgemental attitude.

^^😂 exactly.  There are just some things I cannot overlook that he posts.  The judgemental statements he makes from time to time just floor me.  I cannot tell if he is trolling or not but going off past experiences he legitimately feels that way.

^Quit making hay. I know Laroy's comment came off a little ignorant, but it's all been said before and there are better ways of expressing that than ganging around like a bunch of school yard girls.

There is now a Branson mega thread for talking about miscellaneous branson ideas or issues, and I'll try to keep the celebration city talk in the CC developments thread (in the construction and rumors board).
