Oceans of Fun 2015
« on: August 26, 2014, 09:04:23 PM »
Worlds of Fun announced new addition to Oceans of Fun today. I would have thought that Worlds of Fun would have gone for a new roller coaster since Prowler was built a while ago before doing two water park additions in three years. Maybe a new coaster next year? I wonder if Valleyfair has any announcements coming up for next year since Worlds of Fun announced their plans.

So do you mean big year in 2016 and 2017 or one of them? Valleyfair is the amusement park closest to where I live so I was also wondering if you have any reason to think they'll be having a big year in 2015.

So the Oceans of Fun addition this year, does that mean WOF might finally get a coaster next year?!?! I think what WOF should do for 2016 is tear down Timber a Wolf and get some new launched coaster. I think WOF should do a launched wooden coaster with inversions. (Can that be done?!?!) I can just imagine OR starting with a launch to 68 mph. Probably way to much to ask for, but one can dream.

WOF will probably get another Disk'O coaster like Northern Lights at VF and Pipe Scream at Cedar Point just so they can say they got a "coaster" and can wait a couple more years for a major thrill ride.

The latest rumors say that one season (2016/2017) WOF will get a ride package that includes a Disko, Flyers and another flat ride.  The other year will be a dark ride much like Guardian.

The Disk'Os seem to be getting more popular in recent years. So WoF still doesn't want to get a launched coaster? One of the few amusement parks (maybe the only) owned by CF that doesn't have one.
